Karl Malden's nose stolen from Tussaud's Wax Museum

Submitted by editor on Sat, 10/03/2020 - 17:16

The City of San Francisco was in shock this morning as people woke up to the news that the wax replica of Karl Malden's nose had been stolen by thieves from Tussaud's Wax Museum in San Francisco. Celebrity Michael Douglas -- an old friend of Malden's from in the 1970 series The Streets of San Francisco -- called in to show his respects. In a touching tribute to his old acting partner, Douglas talked about how his partner always had a way to "sniff out that bad guy" before the episode was over.

Family members, old friends and acquaintances expressed their disappointment and indeed horror at the theft, right under the noses of security workers. Police are all over the case, sniffing their way through security tapes, looking for every lead they can get.

Officials are worried that if the delicately built wax objet d'art is not stored in a "cool, dry place", it may begin to flatten even more. Police are appealing to the public for any sign of the stolen heirloom. Mr. Malden's own granddaughter, Filbert Rumpus Malden, says he is worried about the theft but is optimistic that the "whole stinking ordeal will be resolved soon."
